to Celebrate our One Year Anniversary at the Neptune Beach Meditation Center

It is hard to believe that this week, just one year ago, the idea of the Center was merely a whisper, an intuitive thought, that,  led by grace and the faith of everyone in the World Community, took root and blossomed into John Main’s vision of a “community of love.”

We will meditate at 12:15 and share a few of the many expierences we have had with the pilgrims who have arrived these past months to visit and rest with us in the silence.  Please invite your group members and rsvp with how many you think will be joining us.  Many locals will come and and go all day, and we will use the entire Center for space to meditate.  We will have light snacks and beverages available.

Introduction to Christian Meditation

We are pleased to offer a monthly workshop that  will guide the newcomer in the teachings of this ancient way of contemplative prayer and encourage those already on the journey to deepen their practice.  The workshop will be held on the 2nd Saturday of every month.   Our first workshop will be held on Saturday, September 11th with Lina Palmer as the presenter.  We will have a different presenter each month (to be announced).

10 am –12 pm

Suggested Donation $12

This workshop will include how and why we mediate and an introduction to the essential teachings of Christian Meditation.

The topics of these workshops  will vary monthly, but they will all be rooted in the History of Christian Meditation, Psychological Stages of the Journey, Way of the Mantra, or Meditation as a Spiritual Discipline.
